A sculptural tribute to all firefighters in celebration of 75 years proudly serving the communities of Fallbrook, Bonsall, and Rainbow Location: North County Fire Protection District Station 1 315 E. Ivy St. Fallbrook, CA 92028
Inspiration:
This life-sized bronze was commissioned by the Fallbrook Firefighters Association. The plaza features donor recognition and a memorial to the 9-11 firefighters.
About the Artist:
This project was very personal. In 1996, Célou Bonnet was involved in a head-on collision on Old Highway 395 and the fire aid crews made the decision to Life Flight her to Palomar hospital – a decision she credits with saving her life. Célou is an internationally acclaimed bronze artist. Her sensitivity to young people and animals is a talent which developed in her native France.
Donors: Larry Gable, Chris Hasvold, Rick Visser, Phil & Eileen Delaney, Jack Hampton, Arlyne Ingold, Jennifer Jeffries, Mickey & Dawne Goodwin McCullough, Don & Pat McDougal, Wayne & Marty Warner, Vince & Joy Ross, Denny Lindeman, Célou Bonnet, and Artworks of Fallbrook.
